The illustration was designed to represent a collection of short stories about Hong Kong.
The author painted her space with the tree orchard—the city flower—whereas the city had no room for nature. As Italo Calvino in Invisible Cities says, seek and learn to recognize who and what, in the midst of inferno, are not inferno, then make them endure, give them space.
